TUCKED AWAY IN THE TEEMING SAVANNAH PLAINS AND ACACIA-DOTTED BUSHVELD THAT IS THE GREATER MABULA PRIVATE GAME RESERVE, OUR DELIGHTFULLY SMALL AND PROFOUNDLY INTIMATE CAMP CONSISTS OF FIVE LUXURIOUSLY APPOINTED TENTS. EACH TENT IS RAISED ON A PLATFORM WITH ITS OWN PRIVATE DECK AND SPACED WIDELY APART TO ENSURE ABSOLUTE PRIVACY FOR OUR GUESTS.
Our safari tents embrace an African décor, epitomising comfort, ambience and serenity. The en-suite bathroom, reminiscent of an Out of Africa experience, comprises of a toilet, washbasin, large stone bath and shower with running hot and cold water and towel racks with soft fluffy towels. The private timber deck enables guests to withdraw for some private leisure time in-between game drives or to sit out in the evening after dinner to gaze at the star-filled Limpopo night sky
Drift asleep to the cacophony of crickets and cicadas, or the chiming of small frogs to awake to a new day, as Cape Turtle doves are gently cooing at the early morning air.
RATES : are quoted per room per night, based on a maximum of two adults per room, or on a single basis.

The open lounge area, set in the heart of the bushveld, consists of a lounge, fully-stocked bar and restaurant with spectacular expansive views over the savannah plains. A crystal clear splash pool with deck chairs allows for both relaxation and a cool respite from the daytime heat, while an open fireplace and separate boma warms chilly winter nights and gives our guests the opportunity to relax as the day draws to a close.
Guests are able to enjoy the benefits of a soothing massage, or opt for a range of beauty treatments at the Mabula Spa. Our qualified therapists offer a variety of relaxing treatments ranging from Swedish to Aromatherapy, Hot Stone to Fusion massages to revitalise and indulge the body and mind.
Additional facilities, such as a full spa, curio shop, tennis courts and kids wild zone may be found at Mabula Game Lodge. Kwafubesi guests are also invited to make use of the free WI-FI at the main lodge.
Truly feel one with nature by exploring the African bush on horseback. Our qualified horse trail guides will take you out on an adventure where you can experience the thrill of getting up close and personal to our wildlife on our private 10,000-hectare reserve.
Prior to your safari, guests are taken through all safety aspects by their trail guide, during which they will be advised on specific tricks for riding in the bush. Guests are required to wear long trousers and closed shoes owing to the bush environment.

Another novel way to experience the African bush is by quad bike. This entails an adventurous safari conducted by qualified guide, who will take you out on the 10,000-hectare Reserve to observe the smaller nuances of our wild environment. Our guides will initiate your safari by discussing all safety aspects before taking you out on the 1 hour trail. Please allow for 30 minutes for transfers and safety procedures. Safety gear is supplied (helmets).
The quad bikes are semi-automatic 250 cc Suzuki bikes, which can be operated manually or in automatic gear.
