Just seven luxury suites (plus a 2-bedroom Marula Suite) make Makanyi Private Game Lodge an excellent choice for guests seeking exclusivity in one of Africa's most prolific game viewing destinations.
Overlooking a permanent waterhole with traversing rights to over 8000 hectares of private concessions the lodge prides itself on not only giving guests a very private safari experience, but also on its homely atmosphere with welcoming staff, superb cuisine and the utmost attention to detail.
Located on the western edge of the Kruger National Park, an area that spans over 2.4 million hectares, the Timbavati Game Reserve is truly exceptional in that it is easily accessible from main air and road access routes and yet remains wild and unspoilt with fewer lodges and private homes than can be counted on one hand. It is this unique situation that allows our guests the luxury of exploring this arresting habitat uninhibited by other tourist vehicles in total privacy and flexibility. This intimate and exclusive setting offers a truly authentic safari experience.

GENERAL POLICY
Guests may check in anytime from 14:00, check out of suites is 11:00. Early check ins and late check outs are on request and subject to availability.
• All initial requests can be held provisionally for 2 weeks, after which time they will be released back into the inventory for re-sale if not confirmed
• Bookings will not be confirmed without arrival/departure details
• Final Balance for all charges is due 60 days prior to guest’s arrival
CANCELLATION POLICY
• Over 60 days from arrival - No penalty
• Within 60 days of arrival - 50% cancellation fee
• Within 30 days of arrival - 75% cancellation fee
• Within 14 days of arrival - 100% cancellation fee Excluding the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve conservation levy, which is fully refundable
NO SHOW & EARLY DEPARTURE
• Clients who do not show will be charged for the entire length of stay
• Clients who depart prior to confirmed departure date are not entitled to any refund
