About Chiawa Safari's Puku Ridge Camp
4-star Safari Lodge
Puku Ridge Camp is in a remote part of the South Luangwa NP, overlooking a wildlife-rich lagoon where there is seemingly always something to see. The camp was rebuilt completely in 2019 after its purchase from Sanctuary Retreats by Chichele Safaris and is a collaboration with Chiawa Safaris of Chiawa Camp & Old Mondoro repute. With this comes "Best in Africa" award winning hospitality and guiding.
The design is African canvas/chic style and the camp blends in completely with its gorgeous, wild environment. This is a luxury camp with every comfort yet it is intimate and friendly with just eight tents, and offers the authentic safari experience that many people long for.
The Park is endowed with abundant with elephants, giraffes, leopards, lions, wild dogs, zebras, buffalos and various antelope species – many of which will be easily spotted as you lounge on your balcony or eat dinner. This stunning area can also be explored on foot with park rangers and tracking guides, and at night offering a chance to see some of the more elusive animals, such as leopards, genets and honey badgers. Sunset is a perfect time to enjoy a cocktail in the bush, or on the banks of the Luangwa River in the company of one of Africa's largest hippo populations.

RATES EXCLUDE:
Park, Conservation, Community & Carbon Collection Fees of US$ 120 per person per night - subject to change.
• Air or river transfers to/from Lower Zambezi/South Luangwa - any Airport departure tax or access fees
• Park angling permits and lost or broken fishing tackle at Chiawa Camp and Old Mondoro.
• Gratuities, visa fees and personal extras.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Confirmed Bookings Are where Chiawa is in receipt of Deposit or full payment OR irrevocable commitment thereof; otherwise the booking is Provisional
•Provisional Bookings Will be held for as long as possible and will not be released without first consulting with you
•Deposit of 20% is payable to confirm any new booking; 30% to access discounted rates for Groups and Exclusive-Use. Full payment is required 45+ days before arrival
•Payment is held securely in a separate call deposit account; payment details attached
•Cancellations 46+ Days, the Deposit will be forfeit however official COVID-related Postponements will not be penalised.
•Cancellations 45 - 0 Days, 90% of the Chiawa Safaris invoice will be forfeit however official COVID-related postponements will not be penalised.
•COVID-19 We will treat any such cancellations or postponements separately, on its own merits. The Camps comply with WHO, WTTC & GRZ regulations;
