Rekero Camp (Asilia)

When it comes to witnessing the world-famous Great Migration, Rekero is in prime position. Overlooking the Talek River in Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve, the camp sits next to a main crossing point used by the wildebeest on their epic annual journey.

Guests can watch the herd make this perilous crossing without even leaving the camp. Enjoy this and other wildlife sightings from the comfort of your riverside tent or from one of the two communal decks.

While on a game drive, keep your eyes open for prides of lion waking up for a night of hunting, cheetah scanning the sun-bleached plains from atop a termite mound and elephants drinking at a waterhole. Spend afternoons kicking back with a G&T on the deck to watch the river crossings or stretching out on your private veranda with spectacular views of the herds. At Rekero, you’re in good hands. Our team and Maasai guides have years of experience and incredible knowledge of the Masai Mara and its wildlife.

Child rates

Children below 5 years are not allowed unless the camp is booked exclusively

Child 5-18:      50 % of adult rate

Children below 12 should always share a room with an adult

Child 19 years and older full adult rate

Rates include:

• Full board accommodation,
• All house drinks (except premium wines and champagne)
• Game drives, transfers to/from Ol Kiombo airstrip and to/from Rekero Camp
• Limited laundry service

Rates exclude:

• Park fees and other fees specified in the above table
• Cultural visits ($30 per person & $350 per 6 people for the hire of a private vehicle)
• Hot - air balloon safaris
• Transfers other than to/from nearest airstrip
• Flying doctors/medical evacuation insurance
• Flights & airport taxes, gratuities, items of personal nature, additional lunch (picnic or in house) $25pp

Private vehicles

Rates do not include the use of a private vehicle. Private vehicles with driver/guide can be booked at $350 per vehicle per day (min. 2 days)

Transfers & access to camp

• The nearest airstrip is Ol Kiombo, which takes daily scheduled flights of multiple operators.
• Transfers between camp and airstrip will take around 20 minutes.
