CHILD POLICY
Children are most welcome at The Oyster Box.
Our Holiday Club offers an exceptional dedicated recreation facility for the family to relax and enjoy. It is open daily from 10h00-19h00. Children ages 4-12 are welcome. Children aged 3 years and younger must be accompanied by a parent or adult.
Children 12 years and under (maximum 1) per room sharing with two full paying adults are accommodated free of charge, including breakfast. Applicable room type to be reserved – see room description and maximum occupancy for more information
Children 13-16 years (maximum 1) per room sharing with two full paying adults are charged R 750.00 per child, per night, bed and breakfast. Applicable room type to be reserved – see room description and maximum occupancy for more information
We recommend that Children 17 years and older be accommodated in a separate room
Deluxe Sea Facing Suites and the Superior Garden Villas are suited to accommodate families of 4 (2 adults and 2 children 12 years and under on a day bed and rollaway bed). A R750.00 surcharge is applicable for the second child
Family Rooms are suited to accommodating families of 2 adults and 2 children 12 years and under.
All other room categories are able to accommodate a cot.
Directly inter-leading rooms for families are available and should be requested at the time of reservation – please refer to the end of the contract for the list of inter-leading room/suite options
A limited number of additional beds and cots are available on request – please confirm with the reservations team first that the room type required can accommodated an additional bed
Child-minders may be reserved through the hotel at a fee, and we kindly request that this service is booked at least 24 hours in advance
CHECK IN / CHECK OUT
Check in time is any time after 14h00
Check out time is any time before 11h00
Subject to availability, we will endeavour to accommodate late departures without additional charge. If however, there is limited availability, an additional room charge will be levied
A guaranteed early check-in prior to 14h00 can be arranged by pre-registering the room from the night before at an additional charge of one nights’ accommodation
Non-guaranteed late departures and early arrivals will not be confirmed prior to the day of arrival or departure
The Oyster Box requires all guests to provide a valid credit or debit card on check in. The hotel will pre-authorise the guest card of R 1000.00 per room per night for any additional charges / incidentals which you may incur during their stay with us. Payment can still be made in cash on check out for any charges if incurred should you prefer.
GENERAL POLICY
All reservations are subject to the cancellation policy as stated herein;
Payment must be made by bank transfer or Credit Card pre-authorisation and received in full, 20 days prior to arrival.
A copy of the bank transfer, together with the guest details and dates of stay should be faxed or emailed to the Skyborne Travel Reservations Department;
All reservations and amendments must be confirmed in writing
Provisional reservations will be held for 21 days (should the arrival date be 90 days or more out), after which time the reservation is either released for resale, or the reservation is confirmed by paying a 25% deposit based on the total reservation value to secure the booking
Provisional reservations will be held for 14 days (should the arrival date be 46-89 days out), after which time the reservation is either released for resale, or the reservation is confirmed by paying a 25% deposit based on the total reservation value to secure the booking
Provisional reservations will be held for 7 days (should the arrival date 45 days out or less), after which time the reservation is either released for resale, or the reservation is confirmed by paying a 25% deposit based on the total reservation value to secure the booking
Balance of Payment is due 20 days prior to arrival
CANCELLATIONS:
A 50% cancellation fee will be applied if the number of room nights is reduced from the original booking or the booking is cancelled within 45 days prior to arrival
A 100% cancellation fee will be applied if the number of room nights is reduced from the original booking or the booking is cancelled within 30 days or less prior to arrival
A full cancellation fee will be applied if the booking is a ‘’no show’’
All reservation cancellations must be received by The Oyster Box in writing
In the event of any confirmed reservation being cancelled, the following cancellation fees will be charged:
o Cancellations made within 14 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of the booking value will be charged
o In the event of a ‘no show’, the full accommodation payment will be considered a cancellation fee
o One name change is allowed when within cancellation
o Each cancellation will be treated fairly on its merits
